Where to look next
MetaTrader 5
MT5 is offered for iOS and Android on the TopFX-Live server, and all three accounts - Growth, Zero and Pro - run on it. Mind the gaps: the demo block names only cTrader and MT4, and the instrument split puts Forex, Metals, Indices and Energies on MT4 and cTrader, with 500+ shares, 18 ETFs, 2 quoted crypto CFDs and 8 synthetic indices on cTrader alone.
cTrader
The widest of the three terminals: Windows desktop, web at ct.topfx.com, iOS and Android, plus cTrader Copy, cTrader Automate and FIX API. Only cTrader carries the 500+ shares, 18 ETFs and the 8 synthetic indices that run 24/7 (Boom300 1.29, BoomX 4.47); the 5 Turbo indices are quoted from 0.15 on WTI_X3.
Lot size and margin
1 lot = 100,000 units, minimum trade 0.01 lots in 0.01 steps, maximum 100 standard lots per position. Account pages state Margin Call 50% and Stop Out 20%, but clause 11.24 allows closing from a 60% margin level and automatic close-out at 35% on MT4 and MT5 or 30% on cTrader - check both before sizing.
Gold trading
XAU/USD starts at 0.24 pips on Growth, 0.13 on Pro and 0.04 on Zero, with leverage fixed at 1:200 - not dynamic. XAUEUR runs 1:100, XAGUSD 1:10, XPTUSD and XPDUSD 1:20, five metals in total. Gold opens 1:01 Monday and closes 23:57 Friday, an hour after the forex week starts at 00:01 EET.
Start with the terminals: cTrader (Windows desktop, web at ct.topfx.com, iOS and Android, cTrader Copy, cTrader Automate, FIX API) and MetaTrader 5, offered on mobile against the TopFX-Live server. Size the risk first on lot size and margin - 1 lot = 100,000 units, minimum trade 0.01 lots, maximum 100 standard lots per position, Margin Call 50% and Stop Out 20%. Gold trading covers XAU/USD from 0.24 pips on Growth at fixed 1:200 leverage, one of 5 metals; trading trends works through the 40 forex pairs in the live spread table and the index CFDs quoted from 0.4 on US 500 up to 4.1 on SPAIN 35. Before funding, read how to open an account (the BVI route, USD and EUR only), then login and customer service for day-to-day contact.
TopFX Malaysia — quick verdict
What holds up on measurement: three account types - Growth, Zero and Pro - all run on cTrader, MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5, the account-level minimum is 0, and pricing is published pair by pair (EUR/USD from 1.2 / 0.0 / 0.5 pips, XAU/USD from 0.24 / 0.04 / 0.13). Leverage reaches 1:2000 on 6 major pairs and 1:1000 on 13 more, negative balance protection is stated per client under clause 17.4, swap-free status is available on request to [email protected] for Forex, Energies, Metals, Indices and Shares, and TopFX is absent from both the SC Investor Alert List (1,961 entries) and the BNM Financial Consumer Alert (614 rows), checked 2026-09-04 with working positive controls. Malaysia is also absent from the 23 excluded countries in the account rules.
The minuses are plain. Public sentiment is weak: Trustpilot rates topfx.com.sc 2.0 out of 5 from 30 reviews, 60% of them one-star, on an unclaimed profile, and TopFX Global Ltd sits on the Japan FSA warning list of unregistered overseas operators updated 27.08.2026. There is no Malaysian ringgit: account currencies are USD and EUR only, and the broker's published deposit and withdrawal method lists, read on 2026-09-04, contain zero mentions of MYR, FPX, DuitNow, Touch 'n Go, Maybank or CIMB, so a MYR balance has to be converted on the way in and again on the way out, on top of a withdrawal processing fee that the broker states may range between 1.5% and 5% depending on the payment provider and transaction details. The Zero commission per lot is not published anywhere on the current site - the only figure that ever existed is an archived 19.05.2025 page quoting $2.75 per side per lot on the retired RAW account. The broker's own pages also disagree with each other: 40 forex pairs in the table against a 60+ claim, 2 crypto CFDs quoted (BTCUSD spread 34, ETHUSD 3.5) against a promise of 20, execution given as below 20 ms, below 25 ms, within 30 milliseconds and under 30ms, and close-out levels of Margin Call 50% / Stop Out 20% on the account pages against clause 11.24, which allows closing from 60% and automatic close-out at 35% on MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 or 30% on cTrader. Add a monthly inactivity fee of 5 USD, EUR, GBP or CHF (600 JPY) after 90 calendar days without trading activity, a 300 seconds minimum interval between opening and closing a trade, no Malay interface (en, ar, es only), and the broker's own disclosure that 85.19% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs with this provider.
None of this has to be taken on faith. The Cyprus entity and the third countries it notified, Malaysia among them, are published in the CySEC public register, and the product itself is described neutrally in this explainer on contracts for difference.
